The article deals with the issues of ensuring national security by revealing its system that determines the main directions, ways of solving and realizing the tasks of countering religious extremism and terrorism. Counteraction to religious extremism and terrorism is revealed as one of the main ways of ensuring national security, as the determining elements of their formation and development as a social, legal, transnational nature cover the constituent elements of state, society and individual security. Ensuring national security by combating religious extremism and terrorism is determined by spiritual security, which determines effective methods and methods for their prevention The systemic provision of national security is disclosed by examining the determinants of social, information, economic and environmental threats to terrorism and religious extremism.
